In the meeting we will briefly review what SLoCaT has been doing in 2011: revise and expand website, additional members, be part of workshops, submissions, develop SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative.

Following this we will have brief updates by SLoCaT members on activities which are regional - global in nature and which affect the SLoCaT partnership. Please let me know if you would like to be part of this.

The main agenda point for the meeting will be the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative. We will present the latest status of the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative on sustainable transport, including a brief plan of approach for the coming months describing next steps. There will be opportunities to provide feedback and comments on the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative as it is unfolding.

We will also discuss transparency in the development of the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative on sustainable transport. How to best ensure that the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative reflects the views/opinions of the majority of the SLoCaT members? How to involve the SLoCaT membership in the development of the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative - at what points is there a need to review and approval?

Lastly we will discuss implications of the SLoCaT Rio+20 initiative for the future of the SLoCaT partnership. SLoCaT was initially conceived to be in existence till December 2012. Should it continue? If so with what objectives, what would be the membership be? Where would the funding come from? What should the governance structure be like?
